John D. Wilder, II

John is a founding partner of K+W Architects LLC and has been practicing architecture in Dallas for nearly three decades, designing and managing projects all over the US. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington. Although John’s career as an architect has afforded him broad design exposure, he is not drawn to a particular building type, but rather the opportunity to design any building or thing well. When he’s not working, John enjoys cycling, fly fishing, film and sushi dates with his wife Carolyn, also an Architect.

Christopher Klinefelter AIA | LEED AP

Chris is a founding partner of K+W Architects LLC. He began his career in architecture working on boutique multi-family residential and urban mixed-use projects in Boston's South End. His practice has expanded to include disciplines ranging from master planning to single-family homes, including adaptive reuse and five years in luxury international hospitality. As a designer, architect, and project manager, he has experience in all phases from conceptual studies, through design and documentation, to construction administration and final project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling. His most valued aspect of architecture is the client relationship.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Boston Architectural College. He is a registered architect in the state of Texas, a member of NCARB and AIA, and a graduate of the AIA Dallas Advanced Leadership Program. Any spare time he has is spent with his wife and two children discovering National Parks or getting lost in the woods on his bike. Chris was a butcher before pursuing a career in architecture.

“A profound design process eventually makes the patron, the architect, and every occasional visitor in the building a slightly better human being.” -Juhani Pallasmaa
